Octadot is an innovative AgriTech company based in Oran, Algeria. Our flagship project Hurudza is a cross-platform smart farming solution that integrates IoT hardware, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing to help farmers make data-driven decisions — from soil analysis to marketplace access.
The name "Hurudza" means "to farm" in Shona, reflecting our mission to serve agricultural communities across Africa and beyond.
The Problem We Solve
Inefficient Farm Monitoring
Farmers lack real-time, actionable data on soil, weather, and crops — leading to reactive responses and lower yields.
Fragmented Supply Chain
Difficulty accessing markets, limited financial tools, and lack of tailored guidance hinder profitability.
Resource Waste & Climate Risk
Inefficient water usage, weather dependency, and soil degradation threaten food security across Africa.

Mobile & Web
An integrated ecosystem of IoT hardware, AI models, and intuitive dashboards that transform raw field data into actionable intelligence.
Live sensor readings for soil moisture, pH, NPK levels, temperature, humidity, air quality, water level, and rainfall — updated every 30 seconds.
Four ML models: Crop Recommendation (Gaussian Naïve Bayes), Irrigation Scheduling (Decision Tree), Plant Disease Detection (ResNet), and Fertilizer Optimization.
Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Object Storage (OBS), Relational Database (RDS/MySQL), Redis caching, ModelArts for AI training, and CodeArts for CI/CD pipelines.
Cross-platform app for iOS & Android. Features weather display, crop recommendations, plant disease detection by photo, irrigation advice, and fertilizer control.
An integrated marketplace for farmers to buy and sell produce, seeds, and equipment — connecting rural communities to buyers and cooperatives directly.
Subscription-based access for farmers with tiered pricing. Marketplace transaction fees, NGO/government partnerships, and agricultural data sales generate continuous revenue.
